The River!

One of the things I need to play "catch up" with is our trip to the River. My family has a little cottage along the Allegheny River in PA. I grew up skiing at the river for family vacations and on weekends. I got pretty good, too. I loved to slalom. It has been 9 years since I skied. So a marriage, three children, and 25 more lbs. later, I tried to ski again. OHHHHHH...it was WONDERFUL :)

Thank you so much to my uncle tracy for getting the boat ready, and to my parents and other aunts and uncles for making this 4th of July at the river so wonderful.

Also...a big "shout out" to Stacey for skiing with me even when it was cold and almost dark out.

Hello, Everyone! It has been a while since I posted anything and A LOT has happened since my last post. First of all, the biggest news, Matt got a job!!!!! YAY! We are so thankful and blessed. He is a new pastor at New Town United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, VA. His main title is Director of Care Ministries and Sound Technology. We moved here two weeks ago and are settling in. Matt began his job last week.

Might I just say...I love it here. I love our town house, our neighborhood, our church, the southern hospitality, etc... I love the way the Lord has provided for us in the last 3 years since we left Kentucky. It was not at all easy or comfortable - more uncomfortable and very humbling - but it was still GOOD.

A few weeks ago, as we were driving down to Williamsburg to look for a place to live, we saw a rainbow. It followed us (or we followed it) for over a half an hour. It was a beautiful reminder to us that even in uncertainty, God keeps His promises and He is Good. AND...if we delight in Him, He will provide in better ways than we could ever imagine.

So now, we have a beautiful townhouse (with lots of closets) that also has a pool. I would never have believed it myself if someone would have told me I would have a walk-in closet and a swimming pool...yes, we have a community swimming pool. The kids (WE) LOVE it.

Also, may I just say how proud I am of my husband. This has been a difficult time for us, through the MANY rejections or even "non-responses", he persevered, and because of it, now we get to live HERE.

He's Crawling!!!

This is a little late, but just wanted to show off the little man starting to crawl. He is crawling everywhere now (even followed his daddy right out the door one day).

Cheering Camp and Musical

Abby is just having a blast this year. I do not think Kindergarten could have gone better for anyone. Lately she got to go to cheer camp (under a small protest from her daddy:)

Now she is performing in her very first High School musical production. Mommy and Daddy have been helping with PM's musical, Suessical, and Abby is the elephantbird. She is so thrilled. Can you tell?
